Email Threading Fields

The following Document fields are created when Email Threading is first run in the Nebula project.

Field Description
ET- Prefix

Optional prefix to help determine what Thread Sets records are in.

ET - ID

ID value for the thread the record is associated with.

ET - Designation

Review designation for the email.

ET- Email Action

The type of email that was sent (REPLY, FORWARD, or NONE).

ET - Node ID

Value that uniquely identifies a node. More than one record may be assigned the same number if they were considered duplicates.

ET - Node Level

Number indicating the depth of the email in the thread (0 = root node, 1 = first-level reply, etc.).

ET - Node Path

This field indicates the hierarchy of the thread by concatenating the previous NodeIds with the current one.

Email Threading Designation

KLD Analytics uses the following email threading labels.

Designation Description

Inclusive

An email that contains unique content that is not included in any other email (so therefore should be reviewed). For example, an email with no replies or forwards, or the last email in a thread.

Redundant

All of the content is included in messages that occur later in the thread.

InclusiveDupe

A duplicate of an inclusive email.

LostAttachment

Contains an attachment that is not present in emails occurring later in the thread – implies inclusiveness.

LostText

Contains text that is not present in emails occurring later in the thread – implies inclusiveness.

Lost AttachmentAndText

A combination of both lost attachment and lost text.
