26.02.00 Release Notes

The Nebula 26.02.00 release contains the following enhancements and resolved bug fixes.

Enhancements

  • Introduced ECAi (Early Case Assessment Intelligence) - AI-driven document categorization that analyzes case summaries to automatically generate contextually relevant categories and evaluates repository documents at scale.
    • Users can create one or more ECAi Projects in Cull.
    • In each project, users can generate up to 10 categories automatically using advanced AI, refine categories before processing, and export results as multi-choice coding fields for Review workflows.
    • ECAi categories can be used in Facet Explorer and Search Builder like any other field.
    • An ECAi project is scoped to either the entire Repository document universe or a subset based on a “Filter” saved search.
  • Introduced Search Hit Navigator for enhanced keyword navigation in Text & HTML document viewers.
    • Users can navigate highlights using Forward/Back buttons, filter by Keyword Category, and use Quick Find (Ctrl+F) to search within documents.
    • Keyword Category selections and sort choices persist as users move between documents.
    • Text viewer now uses lazy loading for better performance with large files.
    • Available only for newly created or fully re-indexed repositories; legacy repositories continue using the existing highlighting system.
  • Introduced Interactive Timeline Visualization in Document Lists with enhanced Timeline tab for exploring document family dates distributions over time.
    • Users can view document counts with main chart and overview mini-chart, toggle between Monthly and Daily scales, and automatically highlight gaps where no documents exist (customizable threshold from 2-30 days).
    • Users can click and drag on the chart to select date ranges and create filters.
    • Timeline filters can be combined with existing facet conditions.
    • Default view is Monthly scale with gaps highlighted at 30+ days; changing scale with active filters will prompt for confirmation.
    • The old Timeline column has been removed from Facets; existing searches show "Timeline (Legacy Facets)".
    • Timeline view is read-only for certain list types (Workflow batches, Promotable views).
    • Introduced Participant Count Field that automatically counts unique participants across all email fields.
  • Users can see the total number of unique email addresses, filter by that count using different operators, sort within document lists, and export the results.
    • The count field is based on unique addresses from: To, From, Cc, Bcc, On Behalf Sent, On Behalf Received.
    • Works with both old and new participant data structures and is displayed as a standard numeric field.
  • Improved Bell Icon Count notification system displaying unread uploads and tasks (capped at "99+") with tab-specific clearing.
    • Notification dialog displays task list by default; upload tab is only available if there is an active or completed upload.
    • The "Clear Completed" button only affects the currently displayed tab.
    • The bell icon is now visible when a repository is selected, but no review matter is selected.
  • Updated Workflow Stage User Group Visibility permissions so non-SysAdmin users see only user groups within their firm during workflow stage configuration.
    • SysAdmin users see all user groups (excluding SysAdmin type user groups) assigned to the review matter.
    • If a SysAdmin user assigns a user group to a stage outside of a non-SysAdmin user's firm, that user group displays normally for the non-SysAdmin user and they can still change assignments.
    • If a non-SysAdmin unassigns a user group from the stage, that user group will no longer be visible for that user on subsequent uses of the dialog.
    • This is a change from previous behavior where either level user could see all user groups assigned to the matter.
